UV DTF Applying Instructions
At DTFDesign, we want you to achieve a flawless sticker application every time. Follow our easy, step-by-step guide for best results:
Step 1: Surface Preparation & Initial Squeegee
Clean Your Surface: Start with a thoroughly cleaned, dry surface to ensure optimal sticker adhesion.
Set Up the Sticker: Lay your sticker down with the white backing side up.
Initial Pressure: Using a squeegee, press down firmly with 2â4 smooth strokes to secure the stickerâs initial placement.
Step 2: Remove the Carrier Sheet
Peel Away Slowly: Gently peel off the clear protective layer from the white backing. Take your time, especially with small or delicate designs.
Troubleshoot Adhesion: If you notice any parts not sticking properly, give them another pass with the squeegee and try peeling again.
Step 3: Positioning Your Sticker
Careful Alignment: Place your sticker onto the intended surface. For smaller designs, it helps to use both hands. For larger pieces, begin at one edge and gradually smooth the sticker across the surface to minimize air bubbles.
Step 4: Complete the Transfer
Final Squeegee Pass: Once positioned, firmly press over the entire sticker with 2â4 additional squeegee strokes.
Peel the Carrier Off: Slowly remove the carrier sheet, ensuring every part of the sticker adheres securely. If necessary, reapply the squeegee and peel from a different angle to resolve any stubborn spots.
